A beautiful EveryDay Tray where I let Nature be the ultimate designer. This tray exhibits one of the most beautiful woods I have ever seen, and sent to me by my friend Bob Kloes (@kloesspecialtyhardwoods on Instagram or www.bobkloes.com). Why UNNAMED? Because the patterning is SO RARE and UNUSUAL that we don’t even know what to call it. It is some sort of combination of birds eye maple, with some crinkle maple figure, but it’s even a bit more unusual than that even. The disorganized cellular structure leads to indescribably beautiful patterns, visual interest, and chatoyance. The tray frame is made from New England Black Walnut. Finished in food safe shellac and/or wax. Approximate dimensions 14”L x 8”W x 1”H.
