Designed over the course of 6 months, The Facture Tea Tray is a truly one of a kind art piece centered around Aron Fischer’s (@facturegoods on IG) hand made ceramic tiles featuring his signature plaid with 22k gold luster in his lovely organic primitive style. Noticeable synergy emerges between his tiles and the unbelievably figured piece of Claro Walnut that forms the bottom of the tray. Paired with unique vertical lift tea boxes featuring hand cut dovetails all the way around, made of curly maple with a brass retaining bar. The other side is for loose leaf tea and is hand carved from a solid piece of black walnut with a solid ebony lid, again featuring Aron's plaid. The arms feature a gentle curve that matches the breadboard ends on the tray (with brass inlay) and have been ebonized and wrapped in crisp black leather cord. The front and back of the tea tray are also are dried Black Walnut both made from single solid pieces. This allowed for continuous grain to run across every side if the tea boxes, including the drawer fronts. The entire piece has been finished in food safe @osmo_usa oils and waxes.
