This tea box begins with the finest wood, EXTRAORDINARY Curly Maple, which formed a canvas for the solid brass inlaid Chinese character for "family" within the inside of the lid. The curly maple is both chatoyant and color variant, featuring naturally occurring dark and light regions, in a way giving Nature the spotlight as the ultimate designer. Within the interior of the box, solid brass bars span left to right forming a divider network for tea-bag storage. Finished in the most timeless of choices, shellac.
