The Ultimate Valet is named to reflect the achievement of perfect balance and harmony between form and function. First and foremost, it's a valet to store jewelry as make your way through the journey of life looking nothing short of fab. Yet, it is a beautiful piece of art, which sits on a table or dresser and reminds you how beautiful nature can be, with absolutely stunning wood grain and overall form. Looking at the natural beauty of wood can almost bring with it a spiritual feeling, as if the tree has a soul and it's on display with you, in your house, each and every day. In this case, the wood is highly figured "Crinkle" Maple, which is so exceedingly rare, there's no agreed upon name for it and no place to purchase it. This wood was harvested by myself from an exceptionally unique maple tree in Massachusetts whose entire core was rotted, leaving the tree to carry all of its weight on the outermost shell of wood, thus crinkling the grain in a stunningly spectacular fashion. This tree is quite literally one in a million, and the rarest of rare on the earth. The jewelry holder is a Copper Pig custom design and floored in black velvet. The stand alone jewelry tray is milled from matching lumber and held neatly in place with hidden rare earth magnets. The open valet side is perfect for a monogram or important date to be embossed and can store larger jewelry items. The lid can either be close on top or tucked underneath the valet, elevating it and leaving it open for convenient daily use. Finished in the most timeless and classic finish, shellac.
