Three colorful Japanese marquetry stars (from the tradition of Yosegi-Zaiku) adorn the heart-wood / sap-wood transition in this beautiful piece of spalted maple serving board. A black inlay draws further attention to this separation. Chamfered edges all around lighten the look and provide a more architectural element. A brass ferrule inlaid into the handle allows for easy hanging when not in use. Finished with a blend of food safe oils and waxes. Approximate dimensions 18”L x 10”W x 1”H
