Colorful Japanese marquetry stars (from the tradition of Yosegi-Zaiku) adorn the heart-wood / sap-wood transition in this beautiful piece of spalted maple serving board. A black inlay draws further attention to this separation. Chamfered edges all around lighten the look and provide a more architectural element.
